The "Velvet Ditch" as we like to say, is the founding location of the Big Sis Organization LLC. With over 100 founding members, the success and support found in Oxford has led the Big Sis Organization LLC to expand across Mississippi!
Become a Little Sister
Little Sisters are young girls in grades 4th-11th grade located in Oxford, MS. Little Sisters will be paired with a Big Sister to ask advice from, spend time with, and grow in faith with. Little Sisters are invited to monthly Bible studies, community service events, sisterhood events, and more! As of 2023, Little Sisters will pay dues of $50 per semester. These dues will go towards operating expenses incurred for the benefit of the Littles.
Become a Big Sister
For collegiate women ages 18-22 only. As Big Sisters we strive to be kind, understanding, polite, compassionate and well-rounded. As a role model to the younger generation, Big Sisters are held to the utmost standard. Expectations include attendance of events and consistent encouragement to Littles. Once applied and accepted, Big Sisters will be paired with a Little for the academic year.
